A technique for improving visibility in smoke using an infrared projector and an infrared camera is proposed. Tests were carried out to determine the possibility of using infrared light to improve visibility in smoke by plotting the depth of the scene. It is determined that the method used makes it possible to observe objects hidden behind smoke. Methods for increasing the efficiency of the method used are proposed.
