through the prism of time, the effectiveness of legislation and the work of judicial experts is increasing. the article reveals the essence of forensic expertise and the interaction of experts with various branches of science. of considerable interest are the organizational issues of the appointment of expertise, as well as the use of economic operations in the commission of economic crimes. The classification of the degree of efficiency of the expert's work is presented. The shortcomings of the electronic database of the expert's activity are revealed.
